Writers In The Round Spring Concert 2026

Come see this talented group of musicians and writers who gather each year to generate new work and share it with others. This event is a fundraiser for Star Island and Writers in the Round.

Featuring performances by the following artists:

Guy CapecelantroIII is a singer songwriter extraordinaire, whose performances draw from decades of original material, or something that happened on the way to the show.  Always astonishing.

Craig Werth is a singer/songwriter, Unitarian pastor, and artist-in-residence at the Krempels Center.  His work brims with compassion and empathy, and his voice never falters to deliver. 

Meg Kearney is the author of nine collections of poems. Her work has been featured on Garrison Keillor’s “A Writer’s Almanac” and Ted Kooser’s “American Life in Poetry.”

Scarlet Keyes is a songwriting professor at Berklee College of Music, an award winning songwriter, author of texts on craft, and host of a popular podcast, “What’s in a Song.”  She’s also a celebrated performer. 

Ellen Taylor is a professor of writing and literature at the University of Maine; she uses poetry to tell a story, to reveal an injustice, to create community. She has three collections of poetry with Moon Pie Press of Maine. 

Lauren Vermette is the current Poet Laureate of Portsmouth, NH. Her poetry is intimate, visual, and emotive. For Vermette, poetry is an art of connecting with others.
