York Public Library Body of Work Opportunity
Dear KAA Members,
We are delighted to share that the York Public Library has generously invited Kittery Art Association artists to exhibit their work during May and June of 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your art in a welcoming, community-centered space, and we encourage all interested members to apply.
The library is able to display up to 50 works on the walls, along with two glass showcases suitable for small sculpture, pottery, jewelry, and other three-dimensional pieces.
This will be a juried exhibition, with approximately eight artists selected from our membership. You will have the ability to show a small body of work, 8 to 10 pieces per artist, depending upon the sizes. Artists working in all mediums are encouraged to apply. Exhibiting at the York Public Library offers excellent exposure to a vibrant and engaged community of art lovers.
The Library’s art committee will be responsible for installing the artwork and creating exhibition labels. Pricing and purchase information(see below for a sales tip), will be included in a binder, along with your bio, curriculum vitae (CV), headshot (CV and headshot are optional), a brief description of your work, an a note on how your membership with Kittery Art Association has benefited your art practice, your contact information. Helpful Sales Tool!
Angelique: I first learned of this app when I did an art fair in NYC last April. I used it and continue to maintain a presence in the app. The most useful tool is the ability to sell work by utilizing the feature that generates a QR code for each piece of art you want to sell, the fees are less than Square, easy to set up and would make sales at the York Library seamless for you. https://www.cohart.com
