Lucid Coastline

  • 2 Walker Street Kittery, ME 03904 (map)

Quiet clarity that exists where sea, sky and spirit converge. Lucid Coastline explores the many ways artists interpret the meeting place of land, sea, and light. From abstraction to realism, each work captures the shifting moods and sensations of the coast — moments of clarity, reflection, and transformation.

This exhibition celebrates the coastline not just as a place, but as an experience: the shimmer of sunlight on water, the rhythm of waves, the soft horizon where sky dissolves into sea. Whether expressed through vivid color, subtle tone, or layered texture, each painting reveals a personal dialogue with nature’s edge — that lucid space between the tangible and the transcendent. On view at the KAA from July 9th through August 2nd, 2026

Opening Reception: Sunday, July 12th from 5-7pm

Also on View: Works by Spotlight Artist Steffanie Antonio

Steffanie Antonio is a self-taught abstract landscape painter whose work explores the intersection between memory, emotion, and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from shifting skies, open horizons, and the ever-changing moods of the sea, Steffanie distills landscapes into fluid forms and layered textures, inviting viewers to experience nature beyond representation.

With no formal art training, Steffanie developed a personal visual language through experimentation, intuition, and a deep connection to place. Each piece emerges through a process of improvisation, where color, movement, and atmosphere guide the composition more than any predetermined plan.

Steffanie’s work has resonated with collectors and viewers drawn to the meditative and often ethereal quality of the abstracted terrain. Based in York Beach, Maine, Steffanie continues to push the boundaries of landscape painting, blending the seen and the felt into a singular artistic vision.

Art Intake for Exhibiting Members: Monday, July 6th from 2-6pm.
