The Kittery Art Association (KAA) awarded four $1,000 scholarships to the following outstanding 2016 graduating Traip Academy seniors: Piper Smith (attending Maine College of Art), Cora Hickoff (Carnegie Mellon University School of Art), Hannah Stevens (Smith College), and Lillian Bean (Rochester Institute of Technology) (left to right). 2016 KAA Board President Dean Gallant (left) and scholarship fund supporter Roger Cole (right) congratulated the award recipients, who exhibited exceptional creative interests in studio arts, design and marketing, photojournalism, and music.
Since 2008, the Marcia Abigail Ryder Art Scholarship Fund has granted over $24,000 to assist Kittery students in pursuing their creative endeavors. The Ryder Scholarship Fund ensures that Kittery students will continue to have opportunities to explore their creativity. The program is funded by the Art Association and by generous private donors.
